FL15 - Day 5 - R&R

After weeks of stress it was nice to have a quiet Sunday with the Kindle and sitting in the warm air and then a quick dash back into the air conditioned apartment.

We had a look around the shops in Fisherman's Village before lunch and had an ice cream. Despite the threat of another thunderstorm so far it has hit 97F and no problems.

After another Kindle session we went down the road to the Ponce de Leon Park to have a walk on the boardwalk around the mangrove swamp.  The only wildlife, from the many that are supposed to live there, that we saw were the fiddler crabs. Little black jobs that resemble spiders.  These creatures seems allergic to having their pictures taken and as soon as the camera got on them they scuttled off.

Then it was back to the car and a drive to a Walgreens to get Claire some tissues!  The temp gauge showed it was still 97F this late in the afternoon.

Tomorrow is Memorial Day and the village has a classic car show so expect plenty of visitors, Until then,  Adios.

  1. That weather seems a tad too hot.
